Alpine Concert Bus Trip
Alpine Valley (Wisconsin) is such an awesome venue for Jimmy. The problem is that its sooo far from Chicago. We run an annual bus trip for our members. The first pickups are usually around 9:00 AM. We strive to arrive at Alpine around 1:00 PM (they wont let busses in before that).
We provide refreshments on these full size charter busses and usually play one of Jimmys videos on the small TVs. When we arrive at Alpine, we setup our massive grills and start cooking. Lawn chairs pop up, music starts playing, and theres plenty of food. After the concert we take you safely back to where we picked you up. This bus trip does NOT include concert tickets. Participants MUST provide their own concert ticket!

| Camping Trip | |
Our annual weekend camping trip at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park, Amboy Illinois, is fun for all! During the day we enjoy the parks amenities which include: a pool, giant waterslide, miniature golf, an arts and crafts center, and golf cart rentals. In the evening we tell stories by the campfire and make s'mores. Obviously we listen to great tropical music all the while. Our designated weekend usually falls on one of the parks themed weekends (i.e. Mardi Gras, Christmas in July, Luau weekend) Visit Their Website

CocoBowl
This event truly epitomizes our motto Party with a Purpose. Held on a Saturday every March, all of the proceeds from CocoBowl are donated to charity.
The day starts off with a pool party at our host hotel, Doubletree in Palatine Illinois. Everyone brings a dish to pass. We play games, swim in the pool, and socialize with some great Parrot Heads. This event draws members of several surrounding Parrot Head Clubs.
After the pool party, we are shuttled over to Brunswick Lanes for auctions and bowling. We auction off various donated items for charity. Teams decorate their bowling lane in preparation for our lane decorating contest. Dont worry if youre not a bowler we encourage everyone to find unique ways to get the ball to hit the pins.

"My One Particular Harbour"
This is the latest addition to our social events. Members select a date and event to host a My One Particular Harbour -- based on their interests! We encourage members to select events that THEY are interested in (these events are generally not tropical in nature). Our first event was watching Three Men in Kilts, an Irish Band. These socials enable our members to broaden their horizon and find additional common interest. The best part is theyre easy to coordinate! If you would like to host a "My One Particular Harbour", please contact us.

Meeting of the Minds (Key West, FL); Phlocking of the Phaithful (Put-In-Bay, OH); Live By The Lake (Bloomington, IL); Cabin Fever (Bloomington, IL); Island Beach Bash (Rockford, IL); I Shot Six Holes (Madison, WI); and Island Fever Phlocking (Cedar Rapids, IA).

| St. Charles Scarecrow Fest | |
We gather old tropical attire, bags of hay, sticks, and other items and head over to St. Charles on a designated weekday and create a tropical scarecrow sensation in the park. We are one of many organizations that put displays together for this annual event. People come from near and far to see all of scarecrow creations. The keets join us on the weekend as we stroll through the park admiring the various scarecrows. Visit Their Website

| Sports Outings | |
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on. Nobody cares; they are way too far gone We enjoy watching games while eating a hot dog just as much as any other group! Weve been known to get a group together to see the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago White Sox, Kane County Cougars, and sometimes local college games.
